Studies show that Indonesia had 167.0 million social media users in January 2024, making up 60.4% of the total population.

In early 2024, YouTube had 139.0 million users in Indonesia, Instagram had 100.9 million users, and TikTok had 126.8 million users aged 18 and above in Indonesia. Additionally, Indonesians spend an average of 7 hours and 42 minutes online each day, with 3 hours and 18 minutes dedicated to social media. These numbers reflect a significant portion of daily activities spent in the digital realm.

Moreover, studies report that each social media user spends approximately 29 hours and 6 minutes on WhatsApp, 26 hours and 48 minutes on YouTube, 15 hours and 24 minutes on Instagram, and 29 hours on TikTok each month. These figures highlight the extensive engagement levels across various platforms.
