Educational/developmental psychology studies how humans change and develop across their entire lifespan. It includes the study of infants, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, as well as the entire aging process in general.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This specialization concentrates on positive developmental psychology. This means we study human development that concentrates on the positive factors contributing to one's overall well-being and academic wellbeing. In particular, we focus on studying positive parenting, positive child development and wellbeing, child and adult resilience, post-traumatic growth, and positive development such as creativity and positive ageing as well as enhancing emotional and academic resilience and motivation in order to improve academic achievement

LEARNING MODELS

As part of the programme, students will participate in laboratory work, research work, interactive lectures, discussions on specific real-life cases, and presentations on positive developmental psychology related issues. Your study also includes topics such as purposeful and playful learning, academic grit, and well-being of different types of learners.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

The course will take you on a journey through basic Psychology subjects, such as Developmental Psychology, Educational Psychology, Theories of Personalities, Clinical Psychology, Psychodiagnostics, Psychometrics, Research Methods, and Abnormal Psychology, as well as more specialized subjects, such as Play Psychology, Research with Children, Early Childhood Development, Geriatric Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Psychology of Children with Special Needs, and current trends in psychology.
