On July 17th, 2024, University of Jakarta International celebrated a significant milestone in our journey to becoming a top university in Jakarta. We have officially signed an agreement with our future rector, Prof. Dr. H. Paiman Raharjo, M.Si., M.M., marking a new chapter for our institution.
Prof. Paiman currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration of Indonesia. He was previously the rector of Universitas Prof. Dr. Moestopo (Beragama). His inspiring career started from humble beginnings, working as a cleaner and security guard while pursuing his education.
Prof. Paiman completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in Public Administration at Universitas Moestopo and later earned his doctorate from Universitas Padjadjaran. In academia, Prof. Paiman has held roles such as lecturer, Vice Dean, and Director of the Postgraduate Program at a private university in Jakarta.
In addition to his academic roles, he has served as a Commissioner at PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya and as an Independent Commissioner at PT Perusahaan Gas Negara. As Deputy Minister, he focuses on enhancing local economies through village-owned enterprises and effective management of village funds.
Today, University of Jakarta International has officially appointed Prof. Paiman as our new rector. We believe his leadership will bring significant changes and advancements, helping us become an international-level university. His experience and expertise will create new opportunities and guide us in a promising direction.
