On November 20th, 2024, the University of Jakarta International (UNIJI) had the honor of co-hosting the “Perempuan Hebat Untuk Mewujudkan Generasi Emas” (Great Women for a Golden Indonesia) event, organized by Cahaya Ladara Nusantara. This inspiring event brought together influential speakers and leaders to discuss the vital role women play in shaping Indonesia’s future.
We were privileged to welcome Ibu Veronica Tan, Deputy Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, as the keynote speaker. Her powerful message emphasized the importance of empowering women to realize Indonesia’s golden future.
Other distinguished guests included Ibu Ida Pratikno, Advisor to the DWP of the Ministry of Coordinating Affairs of Human Development and Culture, Ibu Sri Bahlil, Advisor to the DWP of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and Ibu Emil Nasarudin, Advisor to the DWP of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Their insights further enriched the discussions on how women’s leadership can drive national progress.
We also heard from Ibu Dewi Motik, Advisor of Cahaya Ladara Nusantara, and Ibu Nannie Hadi Tjahjanto, Chairwoman of Cahaya Ladara Nusantara, who shared their commitment to empowering women across Indonesia.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ari Purbayanto, M.Sc, Chairman of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education, highlighted the role of education in empowering women. At UNIJI, we are proud to support such discussions on the importance of quality education in shaping future leaders.
The event concluded with Ibu Veronica Tan’s inspiring speech, “Perempuan Hebat Mewujudkan Generasi Emas” (Great Women Realizing a Golden Generation), which called for collective efforts to empower women in all sectors to contribute to a stronger Indonesia.
