On October 31st, 2024, over 100 students, faculty, and guests from various schools and colleges came together at the University of Jakarta International (UNIJI) for a Halloween celebration filled with excitement and creativity. With spooky costumes, lively performances, and student-led activities, the event was a highlight of the year.
The 7th-floor dining hall was transformed into a festive Halloween venue, thanks to the hard work of the décor team, led by Denaira Yusmika and Aisha Hanifa Portia. Guests were greeted with vibrant booths hosted by student clubs, offering delicious food, refreshing drinks, live art commissions, and face painting. The prom committee’s photo booth was a crowd favorite, providing the perfect spot for memorable pictures.
The night opened with a warm welcome from the MCs—Denaira Yusmika, Raymond Abraham, and Joylynn Eleanor—whose energy kept the audience engaged. The stage then came alive with a dynamic performance by UNIJI and JIC’s Dance Club, Next Door Crew. A costume competition followed, allowing students to showcase their creativity and bring their characters to life. The celebration continued with a stellar musical performance by UNIJI and JIC’s Music Club, The Mavis, which received enthusiastic applause.
As the event drew to a close, the winners of the costume competition were announced, and the organizing committee gave their heartfelt thank-you remarks. But the fun didn’t stop there—students joined a karaoke session, singing their favorite songs and enjoying time with their peers.
Behind the scenes, a lot of teamwork made this event a success. The production team—Winston Z. Fermanto, Keane Reyner Nathanael, Gabrielle Brishia, and Jefferson Lautan—delivered a stunning projection mapping display that captivated everyone. The event was led by Carl Andersen Suryadi, a UNIJI MUFY student and student association member, with support from JIC and UNIJI students working across different committees.
Each student club’s booth raised funds to support their future activities, adding a meaningful purpose to the celebration. The collaboration and creativity displayed throughout the event truly made it a night to remember.
